Dr. Valerie Gettings, NMD, CISSN, is a Naturopathic Medical Doctor and Certified Sports Nutritionist who takes hypothyroid women from bloated and tired to having mental clarity and energy so they crush their to-do list.
Dr. Gettings is passionate about digestive health concerns, stress reduction, thyroid re-balancing and support, pain reduction, sports medicine/movement medicine, and effective solutions for super-human syndrome.
Dr. Gettings is a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine graduate from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, ON, Canada, where she completed a clinical internship in sports medicine. She received her undergraduate degree in public communications and international relations from American University, Washington, D.C.
She also had her own successful practice as a natural health practitioner in Alexandria, VA, for several years where she helped thousands of people achieve their optimum health through body, mind, and spirit.
In her former career, Dr. Gettings was an award-winning public affairs specialist, journalist, and program analyst for the U.S. Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery, headquarters of Navy and Marine Corps Medicine, in Falls Church, VA.
She is a past president of the Naturopathic Medical Student Association (2019-2020) and holds active memberships with the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians and Arizona Naturopathic Medical Association.
